Correcting God

I have been listening to some Bobby McFerrin, and loving it. I was delighted to find a wonderful arrangement of Psalm 23 on his album Medicine Music. You can listen to samples at the Amazon.com page.

However delightful the musical arrangement, the text is abominable. "He" becomes "She" everywhere, and the Gloria coda is "Glory be to our Mother ..." etc.

Oh, Bobby. Why???
